February 2021 – Teach for the Philippines, a NEAP-authorized Learning Service Provider, partners with Asian Development Bank (ADB) to support the personal growth and professional development of our frontliners in the education sector. Anchored on the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers, “Reigniting the Passion to Teach” is an online training session that aims to help educators reconnect and recommit to their why. To articulate their motivations to teach as well as identify their strengths, challenges, and available support in teaching as we forge on this school year in the new normal.
Last January 23 and 30, our Alumni Fellows Nico Fos (‘14-Navotas City) and Caleb Pacleta (‘18-Marikina City) conducted the webinar “Where na U?” on finding oneself and one’s purpose. As shared by public school teacher Mark Anthony Peralta who attended the session, “In this time of uncertainty, we as educators need to elevate, innovate, and embrace the challenges of the new normal setting in education. Don’t stress and worry about the changes in the education system, but know that as a teacher you are badly needed by our youth to mold their minds and hearts. Be a catalyst for change. Have passion and love in teaching.”
